Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Trey Palmer woke up angry, and that's bad news for the Detroit Lions ahead of Sunday's NFC Divisional Round matchup.
Trey Palmer @treythekiid3I woke up pissed off like a mf !!!!!
Palmer caught a 56-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter of last week's 32-9 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Wild Card Round.
A rookie out of Nebraska, Palmer appeared in all 17 games this season and recorded 39 catches for 385 yards and three touchdowns.
Palmer's anger this week is likely to propel him to success once again, as the Buccaneers will be facing a Lions pass defense that ranked 27th in the league this season with 247.4 yards allowed per game.
Tampa Bay faced Detroit in Week 6 and suffered a 20-6 loss. Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield had one of his worst games of the season, throwing for 206 yards, no touchdowns and an interception in the loss. It was just one of two games in which he failed to throw a touchdown pass.
Mayfield has found a groove at the perfect time, as he threw for 337 yards and three touchdowns with no picks against the Eagles. He has been playing through injuries to his ankle and ribs, and his toughness has paid off for Tampa Bay.
The Bucs are looking to make it back to the NFC Championship for the first time since 2020, so they will certainly be motivated to take down the Lions and avenge their Week 6 loss.
